SATURDAY, 24th FEBRUARY  7.00pm at The Barn, Causeway

After a hugely successful benefit concert in 2014, and a further special members and friends evening of music in 2016, both of which raised valuable funds for the society, for 2018 we offer a Circle Soiree. This will be an evening filled with musical delights and takes place in the Causeway’s community venue The Barn.   The concert is open to all and do bring friends along. Please note start time.

There will be a feast of music of various genres so something for everyone.  We are delighted to welcome back Jane Thomas with her brilliant choir Aristoskatz from Farlington School plus two of their ensembles, Saxophonics, the Flute Trio and the solo recorder player Kira Hyde. They will be performing West End hits together with mellifluous instrumental pieces. There will be violin solos from Judith Templeman including unaccompanied Bach and Vaughan Williams ‘ The Lark Ascending’ accompanied by Heejung Kim. Vocal solos will be performed by tenor Mark Bradbury (heard at our Viennese concert in January), bass Jon Openshaw and soprano Jill Elsworthy.  Valerie Lintott with Jill, Mark and Jon sing a selection from the Liebeslieder Waltzes by Brahms accompanied by the piano duo of Jane Thomas and Gillian Cracknell.  We thank all artists for giving their time to support this special evening.  There will be time to meet everyone and enjoy interval refreshments.

Tickets: Adults £12, under 16s £2, family 2 Adults + 2 Children £25
